The Mummy Tomb of the Dragon Emperor

I love the Mummy movies, their great. I have to say I missed Rachel Weisz in this one, the new girl wasn't nearly as good. The Mummy Tomb of the Dragon Emperor has the normal action and a pretty good plot with just enough humor mixed in. There is a new love story with a crazy twist. Brendan Fraser is if course always fun to watch. I say definitely worth watching and it's at the cheap theaters now so it REALLY worth it.

Vantage Point

Vantage Point is a different kind of movie. It was a lot of watching the same thing from another angle. I like TV shows like this but didn't particularly like the movie. There is an Alias episode that I love like this, it's awesome but the movie was just okay. I think because it's a longer time table so they could show more and from a lot more angles. as much as I love Dennis Quaid, it didn't make the cut.

27 Dresses

27 Dresses was a great movie, I loved it. It's about a girl who loves weddings and is the maid of honor in almost all her fiends weddings. She has a huge crush on her boss, who then gets engaged to her sister. She is then in the position of planning the wedding she wanted for her sister. This was a cute movie that I think many would enjoy. Katherine Heigl was perfect for this role.

Definitely, Maybe

Definitely, Maybe was an alright movie. It was not what I expected at all and I was a little disappointed. It's about a guy who is telling his daughter about how he and her mother met and she has to guess which of the 3 girls in the story is her mother. It's actually quite sad. I love Ryan Reynolds but even he couldn't save this one. It has it's funny parts for sure but still kind of sad.

Sydney White

Sydney White is a modern day Snow White. I love stupid teen movies and this was one of those. Amanda Bines is always great, if you ask me, I will see any movie she is in. This was another of those uplifting movies, my husband even enjoyed it.

The Nanny Diaries

Another one that is on video that I just saw. I had a few weekends of renting chick flicks so bear with me for a few posts okay. The Nanny Diaries is a movie about a girl that didn't know who she was so she became a nanny instead of getting a job in anthropology, which she had a degree in. I thought this was cute and sad at the same time. Being a new mom I just looked at this poor kid and thought, how could you willingly spend so much time away from your kid. It all turns out okay so it was worth the watch, my husband didn't quite think so but that's why they call them chick flicks right?

Enchanted

I know Enchanted is not in theaters anymore but I just saw it so I'm writing my review. This movie is a fairy tale come to life in New York City. I think this was a good movie. Every now and again I like to see a happy movie that is totally uplifting. This is one of those. If you want to see an Oscar worthy movie this isn't it, but if you want something for the whole family this would be a good choice.

Hellboy II: The Golden Army

This weekend was a big movie weekend we also say Hellboy II: The Golden Army which was pretty good. I enjoyed it but I sometimes like stupid movies. Lots of good action. The story line was a bit dull but enough to keep me watching. It gets a little difficult seeing movies with a 7 month old, we spend a lot of time in the wings of the theater. I always like seeing movies like this to see the costumes they come up with. It's amazing what they can do with makeup isn't it?

The Dark Knight

So last weekend we went and saw The Dark Knight. I enjoyed this movie a lot. I didn't think it was as good as Batman Begins but it was still worth seeing. It was a bit darker than Batman Begins but still very good. The story line was well done and the effects were wonderful. I love Christian Bale as Batman, probably my favorite yet. The villains are all great and played their part wonderfully. It was a little sad to see Heath Ledger as such a bad guy but he was great in that role. Well I hope you enjoyed this little summary.

Wanted

I saw the movie Wanted over the weekend and I really enjoyed it. It is a movie about an ancient fraternity of assassins. They have special powers that allow them to basically slow down everything and move super fast. The fraternity caries out death orders from fate via a loom, yup I said a loom. This part got a little crazy but I like that sci fi stuff. I could have done with a little less blood myself, I would not recommend this movie for squeamish people. The acting was great, I do love Angelina Jolie ever since Tomb Raider. I LOVED the special effects, it reminded me a lot of The Matrix. The action scenes were amazing, that's what really made the movie I think. Over all I would say it was worth seeing.
